Lead Caregiver/CNA (Bilingual)
Job Description
The Lead Caregiver provides crucial support to ensure our clients have the care they need if their regularly scheduled caregiver is sick or unavailable, and ensures new clients can get care started without delay. In addition to providing care to clients, the Lead Caregiver assists with on-the-job training and peer mentoring and development of new members of our care team.
The Lead Caregiver must be available to work on weekdays and must be available to work every other weekends. Travel up to 45 minutes and more from our office is required. A valid driver’s license, vehicle, and car insurance is a must. Compensation; $18 hourly, plus mileage after traveling more than 25 miles to and from home. *Sign-On Bonus $200, after working 80 hours
Lead Caregivers are guaranteed pay for 35 hours a week at minimum even if they are not placed on shifts provided, they accept all shifts offered during the agreed days each week. Any refusal to take a shift on agreed days will result in loss of guaranteed hours. This is a guaranteed 35 hours a week, even if we do not have a shift available on your scheduled days.
Key Responsibilities
Caregiving:
· Fulfill shifts which are open due to a “call-off” from current caregivers.
· Fulfill shifts of new cases where a permanent solution has yet been determined.
· Start of care with new client where caregivers have yet to be assigned.
Field Training:
· Start a new case with the caregiver to make sure they understand the Care Plan
· Train a current caregiver on a case where more support is required.
· Quality check in visits on cases recommended by the Client Care Manager
Skills and Qualifications
▫ C.N.A. certification required
▫ 3+ years as a Caregiver preferred
▫ Dementia-related caregiving experience preferred
▫ Reliable and efficient
▫ Takes Initiative to improve care
▫ Strong interpersonal and communication skills both orally and written
▫ Strong and efficient problem-solver and multi-tasker
▫ Reliable car and up-to-date auto insurance
▫ Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
